‘GANESH UTSAV’ HUB OF NORTH BENGAL, SILIGURI CELEBRATES IT WITH ENTHUSIASM

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 05th September, 2016: The Puja Fervor has started with Ganesh Chathurthi of this year. It is popularly known as Ganesh Puja in this part of the country. Siliguri has become the hub of Ganesh Puja in North Bengal over the last decade and the number of puja committees is increasing in leaps and bounds every year. Every locality in Siliguri now celebrates Ganesh Puja and the numbers are on a rise. Maybe in the next couple of years, the administrative intervention would become necessary for controlling the Ganesh Puja for performing the ritual smoothly. The traditional and big budget Ganesh Puja celebration took place in Siliguri’s Bidhan Market, Regulated Market, Hill Cart Road, Station Feeder Road, Fuleshwari, Ganganagar, New Cinema Road, Khudiram Pally, Haiderpara, Old Matigara Road, Pradhan Nagar, Milanpally, Khalpara, Shaktigarh, Collegepara, Shivmandir, Salbari and many others. Apart from this, the domestic pujas are also seen everywhere. This year the MIC tourism was seen to inaugurate his Ward’s Ganesh Utsav by taking Arjuna Soumya Ghosh by his side.
